Working to strengthen and deepen relations between the UK and Morocco.

About Us

Labour Friends of Morocco (LFM) is a new group composed of Labour politicians and members that seeks to foster a deeper relationship between the Labour Party and the British Moroccan community, as well as the UK and Morocco more broadly.

LFM will champion closer ties between the UK and Morocco, recognising Morocco’s pivotal role as a stable and progressive nation in Africa and the Arab world. As a vital bridge between Europe and Africa, and a strategic player in peace and security, Morocco’s role is crucial in fostering regional stability.

LFM will work to strengthen diplomatic relations and unlock economic opportunities by encouraging investment and trade between the two Kingdoms. This includes supporting Morocco’s thriving sectors such as renewable energy, technology, agriculture, and tourism, fostering job creation and shared prosperity for both nations.

LFM will amplify Morocco-UK interests within the Labour Party and UK Parliament by fostering informed, constructive dialogue. This will highlight Morocco’s pivotal contributions to international development, security, and human rights.
